If you are new to the beard growing experience you may notice that there are a few interesting words out there. The most common one that you’ll hear is “Yeard” which stands for year long beard. Or essentially when you’ve grown your beard for one year without trimming or shaving.

From there, another common term is “terminal” which refers to both the maximum length your beard will grow and also the type of hair that becomes a beard hair.

To help shift the negative connotations of beards, start using either the term “completely shaven” or “beardless” instead of the standard “clean shaven.”
